Frenching Tail light My Way
OK gang here you go, after you smooth the rings from around your tail lights, nah you don't have to shave them, just gives it a smoother look, your gonna take your lil stir straws, and try and cut them as close to the angle as the inside of the tail light panel, don't have to be perfect, but you don't want to leave any gaps, then I use a piece of sprue, tree, to set the depth of the light, as I'm using '59 kaddy bullets, once you have it set, test fit, make sure the lights are as deep as you want them, mark the tree, sprue, and cut, then set back in, put the light back in, do any adjustments now, then pull the light, and super glue the tree, do that as many time's as you have lights, it don't matter how long you cut the tubes, you will have to trim them anyway, this is the way I french, have fun
Note: OH when u go to put the whole thing in the tail light hole, you will have to come in from the back, now a secret I like doing, is taking a piece of flat plastic sheet, drill a hole in roughly a hair bigger then the tail light hole from the front, why? well when you place the straw in, it will slide into the support plastic you just made, and give u a clean glue spot, and hint. hint, support, fill and prime till you get that one piece look. try it u will like it
