1970 RT Challenger
A friend has had this kit for a few years, started it a couple of times, but never got very far. So he asked me to put it together for him, nothing fancy, just built according to the movie version.
Paint is Pure White Acrylic, apart from lowering the front a tad, it is 100% O.O.B, something i have not done is many years, and i know why, it only takes 2 afternoons and its done, would cost me a fortune to build at that pace.

Re: 1970 RT Challenger
And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squad cars are after our lone driver, the last American hero, the electric centaur, the, the demi-god, the super driver of the golden west! Two nasty Nazi cars are close behind the beautiful lone driver. The police numbers are gettin' closer, closer, closer to our soul hero, in his soul mobile, yeah baby! They about to strike. They gonna get him. Smash him. Rape... the last beautiful free soul on this planet.
Nice build of my favourite muscle car but 2 days? Even box stock it takes me a week to get the body in primer. Good work.

Re: 1970 RT Challenger
Nice job DeeCee especially in 2 days! I spend that long counting the possible ways that I can stuff a kit up.

Re: 1970 RT Challenger
Intake was supposed to be gold, so i used gold metalic enamel, but it bled away on the edges exposing the orange underneath, and forgot to touch it up before i assembled the motor, then it was too late.dv8v8 wrote: i got one of these to build hope it comes out as good as this one, curious about one thing, in the pic of the engine bay i see some sparkly (bronze maybe ) on the intake manifold, what is it ?
