1961 Falcon soft custom

Falcon , as in US Ford Falcon that is....

Had an old "gluebomb" in a box and thought I'd make a Quick restoration and at the same time do some soft customizing to it. The front benchseat has been cut out and will be replaced by two AMT 1965/-66 Mustang seats. Not sure abot the dashboard yet, might swap it for a Mustang dash, or just keep it stock...

Very cool mate , not too sure about the muzzie seats ? They look big and bulky . Will be watching though .   

The Mustangseats will get some minor mods before installment. I also plan to put a centerconsole in the car.

Console looks sharp and i do like the wheel combination . With console in, the seats look better than what i remember .

I like where your going with this. The wheels are a great choice what color are you going with for the body?

Still haven't decided on colour...but, maybe dark red metallic with gold metallic roof could look good???

BINGO!!
That sounds perfect for this model, maybe a little bit of faded red lace over the gold roof?, She is going to be a cool build when done mate.

I think metallic browns, gold, bronze, coppers etc would also look ok on this era car too

Yes, pearl roof sounds good imo.

OK, forget the -61, I'm doing a -60 with the interior and chassie from the -61!!! Here's the body:

Done a bit more to this one today/this evening. I have to fix some small "dent's" on the body Before molding the rear roll-pan:




I destroyed the fram for the rear window when breaking away the old window:




I also took away some material (see red line) from the rear portion of the body to make it easier to put on the roll-pan:

Looking good mate. Starting to remind me of an old survivor custom Falcon that is stashed away not far from my house.
