'63 Custom Vette
Finally got into gear and got this done after a years break.
It's a homage to Tony Rivera's custom vette that featured in the Oct 63 Rod & Custom mag, although I took liberties and made some slight changes. I kept the split rear window, why? because I just love that look and I just winged it for the rear luggage area interior, and the injected SBC was a TJ custom guess.
It started life as an old AMT 63 vette now with a Revell 67 Vette chassis donated by a forum member and the Radir wheels also donated, Thanks guys. Anyway here it is....enjoy.
Cheers

You have done it again....a true piece of art. I love the lines of this car and the stance is a beauty. You have just add another one to the TJ custom lot, and if this man cave and work wasn't taking up so much of my time I too could finish one to show you what you have tort me. Well done mate.

Re: '63 Custom Vette
Thanks guys. I wanted to get this done for the upcoming local comp and hooked into it. I'd dropped it as it was getting to me with the final chassis fit etc but got over that now and its done.
Thanks goes to Allan for the 67 chassis
Ray, yes the piping was a full on P.I.T.A!!

Cheers mate, the stance was one of the reasons this one stalled, getting the 67 chassis to fit properly........
You'll get there mate and then you'll be spitting out some creative customs of your own.

Re: '63 Custom Vette
Beautiful!...The look of this build is fantastic. Love it!
I do need to ask however!... how do you get the "chrome"
effect around the tail lights & exhaust etc.? It's not painted
I'm sure but Jeez, it really sets the model off. Care to
share your secret?

Re: '63 Custom Vette
Thanks again guys. Jerry the tail light and exhaust bezels are painted with Alclad II Chrome. It can be hit and miss, if you get it right its awesome, but if you don't it's just silver paint
