66 Chevelle Wagon

Finished this one in time for the Mackay Model competition. It got a Highly Commended placing in the diorama category. This is also my first time at making a small windows movie AND uploading to You Tube so please excuse the amateur quality. Also small parts of the movie may/may not be suitable to some of the viewing audience. Viewer discretion is advised. It is purely what most younger males would have experienced in their time.
As for the build, it was a already painted kit I bought for $10. I resurrected it, cut out the tailgate and reworked the suspension to achieve what is displayed in the video. Apart from that the kit is out of the box and a set of parts box wheels. Please enjoy this little tongue in cheek video.

No I didn't. I originally had a momentary switch fitted. It would only work whilst you pushed down on the "BEACH" post.  I put the momentary switch in as I didn't want it working all the time whilst on the comp table. It would have drained the battery quite quickly.
After Mackay it stuffed up so I put a normal switch in. So each time you push the post it either turns the motor on or off.

Nice work Dave, I still say you're a mongrel for keeping it a secret.

Reminds me of my first car I bought in 1973!...
a '65 Holden HD wagon. Asked me Mum to sew up curtains for it. When she queried
the curtains, I said "In case I go camping"... Yeh right!. The springs didn't get quite the
workout as your build Dave.   Nice work... very clever.
