Toyota 2JJ Powered 32 Ford..
Hot Rod Traditionalists better leave now before there are tears.
I started this a while back, I couldn't find an engine I liked enough to put in it as I wanted to do something completely original, so i lost interest and boxed it, found it in a box the other day and I have been playing around making resin parts so I got an awesome idea "A Twin Turbo Toyota 2JJ Powered Hot Rod"
What's it got? Unchopped 32 5 window Ford, body dropped on a full scratch built Z chassis, Resin Toyota engine with scratch build intake, filters and exhaust dump pipe, Shortened I beam crazy drop front end, resin Nissan GTR brakes, cut down radiator with gold metal foil grill. Wheels are from the Revell London Taxi kit. And Awesome fluffy leopard fur seats. Paint is just cheap Indian Red Enamel from Supercheap.
Pretty happy with the end build, it has the no show pony back yard crazy hot rod builder look.

Re: Toyota 2JJ Powered 32 Ford..
Very good job. I like the seat and the donk. I built one with a skyline engine but it's since been rebuilt with a Hemi. Maybe it's time for another attempt?

Re: Toyota 2JJ Powered 32 Ford..
that's cool Morrie !
i am all for the unexpected .. especially the choice of engine .
anything that 'looks the part' in that space works in my book .. !
my most random engine fitment was a 1/35 resin WW1 tank engine powering a '29
pickup cab'd not rat rod .
Morrie are the tyres from the taxi as well ? ... they look real sharp .

Very cool, looks neat as. Great concept- Just make sure you steer clear of those "It's gotta be built just like 1950, with a flat head and cross plies" guys. They'll have a fit!!

Artus. yep they are wheels and tyres off the Taxi, had them left over when I put 20's on my Taxi.
Retro I put photo's of it on a US forum, there where a few not keen on the Jap engine.. lol..

I like it, the engine works well, and the seats look cool, what did you use for them?

The Seats? It's stick on stuff, $3 for A4 size from the Reject Shop, I have used it for a few kits, awesome for doing the back of pimped out custom vans.
