I was never really happy with Long Rod 1.0.  Mainly due to it sitting too high at the front.  So I pulled it apart, pie cut the frame rails, changed the wheels and tyres, painted the chassis black, stretched some Revell '32 Ford 'guards and slung it all back together.
The concept remains the same.  A street driven rod incorperating the aesthetics of the chopper motorcycle and the top fuel dragster.

The bonnet is an example of why you paint all your body parts at the same time - especially with yellow.

The kit was originally a Monogram Early Iron '29 Ford Roadster Pickup (repopped & modified Blue Beetle) which had a chassis so badly warped I built a new one.  Wheels on v2.0 are from my parts box but are prossibly Revell '32 Roadster.

So, that's the Long Rod Wreckscued.  Time now to pull out The Longer Rod and do the same.

Very Happy

I like it, looks great! Kinda reminds me of some of the "improvements' we used to do to old pushbikes as kids Twisted Evil
