Hudson Hornet Nascar .

Built from the Moebius kit , Tamiya paint , aftermarket decals , my mate Richie helped with the foil work as I seem to have lots of trouble with it lately . This car was driven by Frank ( Rebel ) Mundy , this guy was a driver for General Patton during World War 2 .

Wow.. a lovely piece of work!... Really something to gaze over
and reflect on just how much Race Cars have changed over the
years!... these cars were basic and had "Character" and were
driven by the seat of one's pants.

Not wanting to nit-pick, but I was wondering...
Didn't they paint the lettering etc on in those days?
And if the flahs and door numbers were painted on would they have painted over the door trim or would they have removed it?

Looks Fantastic...Silverfox I challenge you to build a model that looks bad!! I don't think you could!! My only criticism of this kit is the "pinkish" tail lamps. (Moebius' fault, not yours)

The decals are by Powerslide , from Mikes Decals . Zenrat - I am no good trying to post pics but if you google Frank Mundy pics there a number of black and white pics showing the door flags etc painted straight over the side trim .
