30 A Coupe Highboy
Here's one I finished just after Christmas.
Monogram 30 A Coupe on Revell 5W chassis with a few Rat Roaster parts thrown in
32 frame was bobbed in the rear and a shortened 32 gas tank was used upside down to create a kind of rolled pan effect.
Interior framing added to the body and was detail painted. Interior is largely Rat Roaster (Seats, dash and shifter). Brakes are resin finned front from The Parts Box and Revell Tweedy Pie rear.
I removed the air bags and lowered the rear and front suspensions. Paint is Revell Semi Gloss black with a bit of extra Flat Black added
Chris

In case you guys haven't noticed...I love Fords...and I love Rods!
This is real nice looking "Ol' Skool" build. I agree with "Chromecop"
nice to see without it "chopped". Love it!

Re: 30 A Coupe Highboy
Where did the rear tires come from, that's a nice tread pattern.

Re: 30 A Coupe Highboy
The wheels, trim rings and caps are from the Revell 32 5W coupe kit. There's also a set of torq thrusts in that kit so you can still build it. The front tires are AMT skinnys from most of their older kits and the rear tires are from the old AMT Explorer and Blazer kits.
They are still available on Ebay. I bought a few when they were being cleared out for about $5 at Toys r Us many years ago. With 4 tires per kit they last a while! I shave the Goodyear Wrangler sidewall markings off and they then pass for dirt track tires to my eye. I also had to open up the centre hole a bit to fit the wheel but if you have a sharp blade, that is fairly easy.
Here's some pics of the kits that i pirated the tires from - they may be in other kits but these are the ones i know have them.
