1986 Mobil VK Group A Commodore
Yet again another bad batch of resin has stopped me in my tracks. After spending over a month repairing the VK, I noticed a damp spot on the roof.
I cut it out with a knife and filled it, only to find it reappear somewhere else this time a lot bigger. so I cut that one out with a dremel and fixed it up.
I managed to get a coat of white on it. It looked great......until the next day! Damp spots all over F$%#@$#$%..... Having spent all that time on it I couldn't chuck it out. so I started fixing it again. (No Good) I did my block!...KAPOW...I am having no luck at all with resin. I am so close to going back to plastic kits for ever. Now I think I have broken my hand!!!
Note: the roof has layers (bad), thats from slush casting in sections. the resin is waxing up between mixes.
You can see I had a go at fixin it after I sprayed it white. primer on roof. that's when I lost it.
It hurts a bit.
Plodding along with the VK nicely, this new batch of resin has made it a bit easier for me to work with.
still a long way to go. the body still needs a coat of clear too.

Shoey Bad Bad Boy! The Vk was looking good Have another go at mixing and casting another body as it sometimes comes good . It worked when I was casting my own engine parts. I somehow got the mix right and they were perfect. I'll have the remaider of the body and turn it into a custom chop top wagon. As if I have enough models to do? Hope your hand doesn,t hurt too much.

Like all holdens there a bit soft and always create headaches. the second photo is how all holdens should be, crush and pushed a side. HAHA,
Cut your loses and start building fords.
Just a tip for next time, throw it at a brick wall, doesn't hurt your hand.

we have been havin trouble with poor quality resin from the only supplier in town, he will gladly replace the faulty product but the replacement is just as bad, i rekon the manufacturer is watering down the resin, has anyone else had trouble with this ?
