Ford 29 Pick up
Hey guy's, this is going to be my second ever car build... I picked this up the other day at a garage sale its a Revell Ford 29 Pick up. ...it was missing the motor and the instruction sheet...otherwise its a complete an unassembled kit ( for Free)..
so any thoughts of where to go from here? (no big wheels see my first post Dodge Dart LOL)...
So i thought i would mix things around a bit..got a old engine from a mate 440 or 426 Hemi ?? and then added some goodies to it
The mods so far... opened up the front grill, chopped the roof, shortend the ute tub, moved the body right to the back of the chassis, i will de-chrome all the running gear ...the engine is yet to be detailed ...this all may take a while
As you can see its all in the R&D test fit stage ...Colour not sure??

Don't let our dislike of big wheels/thin tyres stop you using them if you want to.
This looks good but can you make it lower?

"Making it lower is above my pay grade atmo" ...if some one could point me in the right direction of how too's in this forum etc.
As i was thinking along the same lines ...because if you look at the box art of the kit, even with the mud guards, running boards and stock kit wheels it appears to sit up high...so with them removed as i have done its certianly needs to sit more level and lower too get that look...
So if anyone can shed some light on this "lowering of the chassis" or is it raising the wheels ??? because the running gear and chassis is exposed... i think i need to go about it with a bit of care as it cant be hidden, i would be very appreciative
(as this problem of height has never been a issue with my tank models )
Cheers in advance
