Linfox Beer Truck
Yeah, I know.....Back to what I said I wouldn't do.
Probably 4hrs, and Caltex Tanks would have been finished.....
But I was looking for something, and this has been sitting around....since : ...???
I was at IGA Diamond Creek; there was a Linfox tray unloading packaged beer, and I thought it would be a good model, so I took heaps of photos...(when you had to get them developed),... made a long tray, etc etc.
Then it got forgotten about.
So it came out today.
" />
I don't remember, but I must have used or trashed the tray, years ago. I still had the headboard, the tailgate loader, cab, mtr etc in the box.
" />
I was going to use my first ever A trailer to redo the tray.
" />
But didn't, so I made a new tray, but had no balsa for the floor. This meant a 1hr drive to Hamilton, 1hr drive back, just for Balsa.
Made a tray, and put the floor in.
" />
" />
Mtr had been done, I reckon....Nah, can't remember...but the cab was gloss, with BMF on it...and I have not done that for...I reckon 16 years?
" />
" />
I' think it will still (probably) end up as the Fox beer truck, so I have to find the photo's for the livery.
At the moment it's loaded with cigarette packs, waiting to be tarped.
" />
" />
Can't find the mirrors, and some other bits; so I'll have to pirate another kit for them.
This hobby has it's ups and down,....pain in the arse having to smoke 240 cigarettes today, just to get the load.
OR...
I could forget about it and....start something else..?
Found 2 (two) of what I reckon was 30 photos. This was the truck outside IGA Diamond Creek.
" />
Couldn't "quite " match the colour, could not for the life of me find the OLD carlton draught logo, so this is the stage of the beer truck.....just before I head down the Pub.
" />
" />
" />
I could have gone with VB logo but.....out of deference to the Adelaide connection; I will go with MID..??? (this is a mock up just to check size for decal)
Ancillary bits to put on, rego to do.
See what happens tomorrow.
Geez....Might not need to go to the pub....By the look of the tarp job, I'm pissed enough.
Cheers.
