Hey boys,
just a quick question on using polishing cloths, should i use them before or after clear coat, i've used them once after paint, came up a treat but then sprayed clear and went all cloudy and dull, what did i do wrong ?

Re: polishing cloths
Not a fan of polishing color cote before clearing it, a light wet sand usually is enough, (2000 grit)
but never sand metallic paint without clear cote first.
I usually wet sand the first clear cote, then give it a good wet clear cote, this allows plenty of
clear to buff and polish, with out rubbing through anywhere.
*THIS IS WHEN THE POLISH PADS AND POLISH CLOTHS DO THEIR BEST WORK*
As for the cloudy problem you experienced, i don't know what caused that, cold or humidity maybe?
( This is just how I do it, and not necessarily how it should be done, and just for the record,
i EXCLUSIVELY only use automotive acrylics, how this system works with other paint, i just don't know)
