Daf 3300 Low Loader

Found this the other day clearing out some old cupboards so I thought I'd give it a repaint.


I broke it down into bits by drilling the top off the 'rivets'. I'll drill and tap the remaining rivet body and re assemble with small bolts.
This is the product I use to strip the paint off diecast.  DON'T  use it on plastic!!!!!!!!



Brush this stuff on and this is the result 15 min later. After an hour, scrubbed it with a toothbrush (wifes!) under running water and job done. Just needed a little clean up in the odd corner or 2.
Ready for primer.


Chassis for the cab done in a Duplicolur red.

Cool little find with a bit of detail it will make a cool model.

A little bit of detailing done on the chassis and some colour done on the trailer.

Decals on cab, need to clear coat it.

Also need to touch up that paint!

Got this finished.

No mods to this just the paint. Tamiya smoke on the windows to help hide the scratching and a coat of clear orange on the flashing lights. The tractor just got a couple of washes to bring out some detail and help take the toy look away.

The rims need to be painted silver with black in the holes.
Over all great job on it.
