Ford Louisville
I'm using this kit to build this.
I'm going to leave the chassis red but go with a blue and silver paint scheme on the cab similar to one that used to cart into my Pa's sand yard in the late 70's early 80's.
The chassis is together, cut down with a bogie rear end, Auslowe tanks, steering to RHD.
I'm using this build to have atrial run at some wiring and plumbing detail. Might not be 100% accurate but I think it will be busy enough to look right.

Deaf as... that is "the Duck's Nuts" mate!...great work. I'd paint the little sections of the air intake Matt Black,
that would really clinch it. To the untrained eye it looks almost like the real deal!. Well Done.

I think you might be right, a couple of bright lights, a shiny bauble and 1 loud noise and he's lost his train of thought for a week!scummy wrote:I don't think we will ever see it done mate .Deaf as wrote:Thanks Dad, long time no see. Re: Ford Louisville
From those bends at the western end of Lambie right through to Tunnel Hill on the old concrete road caught a lot of guys out. I never had enough horsepower to get into much strife. What did you get after the Louie?scummy wrote:Louie looks great , I used to drive one for mcphees doin the run from Sydney to your home area with 692 Detroit , loved it till Mervin lost it on the bend at Lambie .

Re: Ford Louisville
He reckoned a ball joint let go , and it was then they found out he lost his license for 2 years !!!!!!
Re: Ford Louisville
hey Tim, check out Scummies age now, he's officially a veteran truckie! as far as the low loader is concerned, I've............................................................................................sorry, saw something shiny. I've made a good start on the (easier) dolly, not. it's a tricky little ba$tard trying to get everything moving and not falling to bits in the process. when there's not so many shiny things about I'll get some pics done
