40 FORD DELIVERY (Rebuild)
Hi Fellas... Bought this model (already built) of e-bay coupla months ago, because it was going relatively cheap.
Previous builder didn't do to bad a job on it, but my idea was to dismantle it, strip off all paint and rebuild it.
A few bits had to be replaced or repaired, and I hate those "Saucepan Lid" hub caps. Anyway let's get on with ride.
Previous paint work was a bit "Orange Peely", so a good soak of all body panels etc. in a bath of Brake Fluid, cleaned up
with warm soapy water then primed did the trick.
Rebuilt engine and converted the dash to R/H Drive.
Now to do something with the interior... Disposable Razor blade handle will do nicely for center console. Carpet was done
using self adhesive black felt. Changed the bucket seats. Rear floor boards were printed onto photo paper and glued in place.
Thin chrome tape strips applied as runners.
More later...

Yep... Going to stay with Blue, but I'm thinking Tamiya Clear Blue over Anchor Lacquer Sparkling Silver.
Van is not far from finished so I will feature it soon in "Showroom".
