BIG BANGER
I have had a little break from building Brock stuff, now I am back into it again.
this time with the 1984 Marlboro Holden Dealer Team VK Commodore Group C.
I bought the 1/24 Aoshima Mazda Savanna wanting to build the Moffat RX-7.
but after looking at the body it was way out of proportion, so thats when I had the idea.
I was lucky, Just had to shorten the rear wing a fraction
I have to make a deep dish 5 spoke Momo rim.
Still a long way to go, this is only the first coat of primer just to see how it looks.

Re: BIG BANGER
Brilliant work Shoey! Who'd have thought one day Moffat's Mazda would come to the aid of Brock's Commodore??? How strange (and wonderful) is the world of car modelling.

Re: BIG BANGER
Got some colour on it the other day, still a long way to go if I'm gunna put it in our show. I have to make a set of deep dish MOMO's too.
The colour is Tamiya Fluro red, no matter how I take a photo of the paint, it won't show off the fluro. if I use a flash it turns out bright yellow. weird.

the MOMO wheels were made by using the rear side of a rim and hand cutting the spokes from evergreen card.
the tread was also removed to make slicks. These wheels were made for the VK Group A version,
in short a Group A Race car was based on a road going vehicle. Group C bent the rules a bit.
Re: BIG BANGER
Great work, wheels turned out excellent.
