66 Fairlane Empty 66 Fairlane

Post by Shoey Wed 24 Dec 2008, 2:32 am

Yet another rusty old wreck. This 66 Fairlane will be a part of my junkyard diorama.
Have not yet started the base for it yet, I only have just over a month to get
it finished for our show in Feb.

Same procedure as last time for realistic dents.

I would have done this about 10 times to get it right. it is so easy to bend too far out of shape.

a little bit of Easycast resin.

Wahlah! just like a bought one. you can leave the aluminium foil on if you want. it sticks pretty good to the resin.

to bond the two parts together I use the sanded resin dust with super glue, apply the glue where
you need it and then lightly sprinkle the dust over the glue. you can actually
grind and sand it in about 5 seconds, magic for filling holes too.
