5TH QLD N.N.L TITLES...Now with Pics

Don't forget our show is just over a week away and numbers are already rolling in.
It's shaping up to be our biggest show yet, so don't miss out, Gee I sound like a salesman...

Rockhampton Scale Modellers Assoc. along with the Capricorn Model House, Advanced Tyres
and Champions Brock Experience presents the 2009 Qld NNL Titles or (Rockhampton Model Show)
to be held on Saturday 7th February from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Criterion Hotel Quay street Rockhampton.

MODEL ENTRY DETAILS
Set up from 7.30 Saturday 7th
Note NO ENTRIES will accepted after
10.30 am unless prior approval from promoter has been granted.

Entry fee is $2.00 per model, up to 5 models, each model over are free.

One of the Best Model shops in QLD is only 1 minute walking distance away!!!!
Most Modellers stay back after the show for drinks and meals.
and party on into the night if you wish.

Tiger Airways do direct flights from Melbourne from as low as $60 one way.
Virgin Blue do direct from Sydney from $135 one way,
Airport to model show 5 minutes by Taxi

If anyone was going to fly up to the event from Sydney or Melbourne you could at least pick them up at the airport!

I would bloody love to come and annoy the hell outta everyone, but I just can get there dammit... maybe next year

Hey Guys, This was the first year I didn't take any pics (Bugger). but DufasDave had a camera and was snappin all day. we will get some pics to yas soon.
Thanks to our local News paper the idiots focused it all around me and not the show, what info was about the show was all wrong even the date, The girl said she would put an apology in Fridays paper with new dates but she forgot that too. Because of her blunder we only managed 270 entries from 33 entrants. but we still had a great day. I think we might have to start our own News paper so we know it will be right.

Here are some pics from the auto section, these were taken by Dufusdave and another mate Ben.
I didn't take any pics at all. I think I coulda been gas bagging somewhere.

Considering the local News paper put the wrong date in for the show, We only had 270 models on our tables
and 33 entrants, but we still managed to have a pretty good day.
on the day we managed to raise $550 for the Variety Club of QLD.
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out on the day as well.

It would have been nice to get a few of you guys up here for our comp, Maybe next year!!

That's the best turn out of model cars i've seen in oz. craps all over QMHE.
Nice work shoey,I was hopeing to get up there for this but only noticed it a week before, next year I'll hassle some of the bmtcc members to come up to it with me.

Looks like we missed a good show................thanks for the pix guys,

Still kicking myself for not taking any of my own.

You better make it down to our show then.

The best turn out of model cars is at Tumut NNL Titles. As Checkmate says , the invitation is on to go to this one at Tumut. Has always been a great show, great people and a great turnout I,m bringing at least 20 of my cars plus the NNL Theme car , a '49 Merc (Revell), which is almost finished, and lookin good. Hope to see some of you there!

Saw a lot of nice stuff in the pics from your show Shoey. Take too long to mention all I liked, but I am interested in the green FB Holden Pro Street ; and your "Rust in Peace" is amazing. I got a little over the top about Rob's show , so all model car shows are great! Anyone up your way have a spare one of your HQ Panel Vans for sale as I'd like to start a new project with that.
