'67 Chevelle
This is Barbie.
In the December 2008 issue of Muscle Car Review Arvid Svendsen wrote "In Muscle Car land, the greatest good is done by bringing high performance automobiles of the '60s & early '70s back to factory-fresh status. For that reason shaving door handles, eliminating trim or inventing some bizarre new look for a time-tested & treasured classic is verboten...If you must, build a motor (put the original in storage), do a mild upgrade on the brakes, take up badminton, but leave the exterior alone."
This attitude irritates me so I decided to build something that would irritate Arvid.
The clear is, for once, not floor polish. It's automotive acrylic clear with some pearl powder mixed in.

Re: '67 Chevelle
hmmm, I'm sure they could have used this as a float during the Mardi Gra the other week, guaranteed Arvid would hate it, and if someone was to do this to a 1:1 they'd deserve a bitch slap!!

Re: '67 Chevelle
Yay! made Bryce throw up.
Just be gratefull I resisted the temptation to go with a green or orange interior...
Mrs z likes it so it can't be too bad.

Re: '67 Chevelle
Thanks guys.
It's a very heavilly flocked steering wheel to represent a furry white cover. It matches the white carpets.
No, I won't send Arvid any pics as I suspect his response would be predictable and possibly abusive
I'll wait until I win lotto and do this for real and send him pics then (after Pauls bitch slapped me).
This was a very quick build with minor mods and detail (which I like to do now and then to clear my head). It was also to try out new clear and the pearl powder (no bodywork so if it went wrong it'd ba an easy strip).
Wheels are Revell '32 Roadster with tyres from my parts box on the front (which admittedly could fit better). Engine came in a box of bits from Evil-Bay and was origninally in a flip front '57 Chev. Apart from cutting out the inner 'guards at the front and adding bracing everything else is as AMT intended (OK, I did RHD it but that's easy with this dash design). Even the ride height is stock (although springs are wound from wire).
