hk monaro
this model had not much detail so i am cutting open the bonnet to make an engine bay I've got to make inner guards and I've already found a radiator.

It looks very much like the Cavalier version. They did the HK Monaro and the HT Monaro; of which I have and I had hoped they would have done the HG version , but alas , they didn't: bummer, why?

Hey Ash, at your age I used to finish a build b4 starting the next.
Now at 40 I get half way through and then start another.
You seemed to have jumped 25 years and caught up to us lot.

just a update found some inner gards and radiator of a 1970 1/2 comaro and finished smothing out the body now ive got to make some bonnet hinges then i will make a fire wall

Thats alot of work, i dont have the time or patience for that right now. Seems im stuck building things box stock just to satisfy my cravings. Great job ash will be awesome to see it done.

A great start to an awesome model. I'll be watching this with interest.
Historically speaking, the Cavalier Monaro is a copy of a promo HK Monaro made in New Zealand in the early 70's for GMH. I worked at GMH Fisherman's Bend at the time, and the Monaro (coupe) and Premier (4-door) HK models were offered to staff for $1 each. I have both with their packaging packed away somewhere in my garage. I'll post pictures when I get time to unpack some boxes.

now just done some more stuff i had trouble with the paint the first time i have ever used presure pack paint. im so use to airbrushes.
