this model had not much detail so i am cutting open the bonnet to make an engine bay I've got to make inner guards and I've already found a radiator.

It looks very much like the Cavalier version. They did the HK Monaro and the HT Monaro; of which I have and I had hoped they would have done the HG version , but alas , they didn't: bummer, why?

Hey Ash, at your age I used to finish a build b4 starting the next.
Now at 40 I get half way through and then start another.
You seemed to have jumped 25 years and caught up to us lot.
I am just glad you are still in the junior category..lol,
Keep up the good work!!!!

A great start to an awesome model. I'll be watching this with interest.

Historically speaking, the Cavalier Monaro is a copy of a promo HK Monaro made in New Zealand in the early 70's for GMH. I worked at GMH Fisherman's Bend at the time, and the Monaro (coupe) and Premier (4-door) HK models were offered to staff for $1 each. I have both with their packaging packed away somewhere in my garage. I'll post pictures when I get time to unpack some boxes.

greatjob
