Re: Art other than models
Just another of the tings I do to waste time.
I've always admired the work of Roth, Von Dutch and others so a couple of years back I bit the bullet and bought a brush, can of one shot and tried my hand.
Didn't like the early results but because I enjoyed it I persevered and now, whenever there's time I pick up the brushes and get painting.

Re: Art other than models
Yup yhey've published some of my lines and my models over the years.
My very first effort was a bunch of terribly executed but wildly colourfull flames on one side of my 1/1 scale '33 Ford. However last year I rubbed those doors out and painted themm to make the car nice and shiney all over. It still wears some of my early work on the glovebox lid.
There's a few cars getting around with my stuff on them plus I even striped a well know rodders tractor..... in the dark. And strangely it turned out OK.
It's great fun and very theraputic, the tool boxes are neat because they are cheap to buy and I can give them to my friends or even sell them to others just to cover the costs. I've done quite a few that were used as prizes or trophies at shows. Geoff Rae (a more expert and better known striper than me) and I usually spend Saturday evening of John's Rod and Kustom Picnic and the Kustom Nationals striping the trophies for the model car show.

Re: Art other than models
Thats awesome mate, its something I've always wanted to try. My only claim to fame is that my mail box is the one on the contents page of Cruisin Magazine. It was in issue 13? with a hornet scoop I flamed, and its been on the contents page since!
