64' Chev Pickup
Here's my lastest build, finished it last week.
I built it for an on-line comp, it had to be a "Work Vehicle". Instead of doing the normal style work ute, I went with a surfer dude who makes custom surfboards delivering them up and down the coast. Since I didn't build it in the "Workshop", I'll point out a few things.
-Surfboards are scratchbuilt using a X-Box cover.
-I made two board racks, one standing and one in the back of the truck. The one in the truck has working flocked rollers.
-The tonneau was originally a DVD cover and the lift supports are made from the tube out of a pen, some beads, sewing pins and guitar string.
-I added a rear fuel tank with a fold down number plate to show the gas cap.
-The interior; The bench seat was replaced with buckets also changed the door skins, added a center console and used guitar string for trim.
-The motor is a 350 small block from a Nascar and I also made the grille.
Unfortunately the box section needed to be re-sprayed, I wasn't quite able to match it to the cab. That's about it, I'm sure I've taken up enough of your time.
Thanks for looking.
P.S. Clutch is just my user name, please feel free to call me Joe..

Man, you guys are blowing me away with your builds, that's a beautiful truck Joe, I have an early version of this truck that I have had for years, you have inspired me. Better finish some first before I pull this one out. Nice job mate.

You can talk mate, have you looked at your builds lately !!!
I'm glad all you guys like my build, means alot.
The boards where a hoot to paint, all done with spraycans, the planet board has 13 different colours! (stuffed up the tip a bit on that one).
I've never scratchbuilt anything before, tired to keep it simple and creative. I was surprised at how long it took to complete, I now know why some of you take forever to finish a model !
