34 Ford Pickup
Well its finished at last. Didn't turn out too bad I thought. There isn't much of the original Lindberg kit in this pickup. Example
- Chopped (3mm) and channelled (6mm) cab (Lindberg part)
- Chopped 3 mm from 32 Ford grill shell and made grill insert from sheet steel gauze
- modified chassis to suit Chrysler engine gearbox and diff. Also front suspension from 32 Ford highboy kit and Subaru rack and pinion steering
- scratchbuilt tray with wooden inserts
- new seat made from cadillac buckets
- Wheels from Ford F1
- Alloy pulleys courtesy of Shoey
- Scratchbuilt radiator
- Scratchbuilt exhaust, made from alloy tubing
- Scratchbuilt shocks from paper clips and alloy tubing
Enjoy the photos and the workshop photos have been updated as well.

Re: 34 Ford Pickup
All I did when I cut the roof was to cut it as neat as I could so that there was very few gaps when it came time to glue it back onto the lower cab section. Another trick is too sand an unwanted piece of cast resin and make a pile of resin sandings. Fill the gap where the cut was made and fill it with sandings. Glue in with super glue. Not only will it not shrink but makes the joint nice and strong as well. By doing this I used very little filler where I had cut the roof and the grill surround. I must thank Shoey for this little trick. The nature of the hobby, we learn off each other.
