29 sedan delivery
The postman delivered a Jimmy Flintstone ’29 sedan delivery resin body to my house yesterday:
It’s pretty rough – especially around the bottom – and will need a fair bit of clean up, but I am glad I got it. I was planning on trying to make one out of the ’31 sedan body, but after comparing the two I now realise it would have been too much work.
I have mocked it up on the ’29 Woody/RPU fenders and it fits like a glove. Even the visor is a perfect fit, so I’m hoping it will be an easy conversion…yeah right!
This is what I have planned for the build:
I want to add my own ‘Michelmore Rod & Kustom’ logo on the side if I can work out how to do it.

That will be sweet when done, was looking at one of these myself but don't have a donor kit so went the chopped 56 Ford sedan delivery instead, hope that gets here soon Look forward to seeing progress on this.

I'll be watching this one Bryce.
I too have one of those bodies and the chopped Tudor.
I know what you mean about the rough bits but they're not too bad
BTW did you check out the feature?

Re: 29 sedan delivery
Thanks guys. So far this one is just falling together.
I recycled a crappy old dropped tube axle up front and removed the rear spring to get her down in the weeds. Have also cobbled together a set of big and little steel wheels.
Biggest battle has been making the hood and grill fit the body and chassis. The short story is that the grill needs to move back about 5mm in order to get everything fitting well. It seems to be OK now and I just hope the kit flathead engine still fits.
Somehow the set of mini tubs I added out back to fit the larger rubber has fixed the body alignment issues too – I don’t understand it but I ain’t asking any questions either.

Sweet. So much better than the box art.
I'm messing around with a '29 Roadster. Pics when I can get a mock up together.

Re: 29 sedan delivery
G'day Adam, I just got a Jimmy Flintstone 56 Ford Chopped sedan delivery and compared to Jaymar stuff it looks great. Bit of clean up but for the price, I no complain. $20 and it's as good as the R&R 58 Chev I did ( I paid $35 at a swap meet for it) I'd say it depends on if you really want the subject in question. Just my

Re: 29 sedan delivery
Been plugging away at this one too but too lazy to post an update. Never thought I’d choose to paint a car this colour, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s come out.
It took a lot of work adding strips of styrene around the fender wells to get some sort of decent fit between the body and fenders. Had to do lots of reshaping of the hood and hood sides to get those to work as well. While I was at it I added some louvers courtesy of a Revell ‘32 roadster.

Re: 29 sedan delivery
Getting there slowly. Engine is in and wheels are on.
Made some taillights from ’37 Ford leftovers.
Next hurdle will be making some ‘Michelmore Rod & Kustom’ graphics for the side panels…
