Re: "BlackSunset" Falcon Ute
I'm with Chris, I can see the tattooed brigade around it but I can also see the bloke under it with the gas axe and his mates telling him " Yeah, that should be low enough"
Great job mate, captured the look perfectly, I wish I was brave enough to tackle that kind of build. Been doing shiny for too long I think.

Yeah the pin stripe face is pretty cool - great job mate!
I like the tool box too - where'd that come from? And what else have you got sitting in the tray?

Re: "BlackSunset" Falcon Ute
Gum leaves are good.
Exhaust tips are a bit close to the bitumen but the finish on that satin black is great. It looks like it's been on there a while and been out in the sun & weather. Was that deliberate (if so - how?) or accidental (through handling it during construction?).

Wow..............I didn't even notice the face till I read your post,

The tool box is from an AMT (I've had it since I was a kid)..........There is also a very similar one in the Ranchero kit.
........there's a few old leaves and muck in the tray, plus a bit of rust.

.......don't sweat the exhausts Fred, it's only a weekend cruz'r
as for the paint, the flat black enamel has been hit with a polishing kit so it's sheen varies to look worn.........on purpose!!!.....not everything I do results from a F:"K up

Nice build Paul - I don't know about the tattoo brigade but I can see the "rocker" chicks hanging around this one (maybe they have the tattoos?).

Re: "BlackSunset" Falcon Ute
Hmmmm. When I polish satin black all I get is something that looks like a really bad gloss job. Or it comes off (enamel over car paint - looks OK but the paint don't stick).
Maybe I should polish less vigourously?
OK, I won't sweat the exhausts. Just avoid the speed humps when your driving it...
Lots of good, bad, ugly & just plain bizzare custom pushies here http://bikerodnkustom.com/ if anyones interested.
