Post by big bad kustom Wed 27 Jan 2010, 9:26 pm

I have been thinking about doing this for awhile now. A post where it is wholly and solely dedicated to Kustoms, any Kustom , whether it be a Rod, Big American Kustoms , British , Aussie Kustoms or whatever .
Doen't matter what era , 50's, 60''s 70's or even more recent. Just any Kustom whether it be Good or Bad.
I'll start off with one of my favourites "Jade Idol" Started out as a '56 Mercury.

More to come Enjoy!

Don't think that flamed thing (Renault Dauphine?) would be classed as a kustom, but it's cute as...

Ron - the first pic you posted is spoilt by the pink bikini clashing with the jade paint. Photographer should have asked her to remove it...

Mustang_67 Ah Yes, one of my favourite Stangs. Drove one similar to this one day many many years a go. Nice! OK! Now for another so Kool Kustom, I'll go with an Oldsmobile. First time I saw a stock one of these was in Switzerland in 1967. This definitely is nicer than a stock one.

Bryce. I.ll try and keep this short - re: Switzerland About every so often we nicked across the border from Nth Italy where we lived, near Lake Como ( where all the movie stars hang out lately), place called Varese'. We were there, because of my Dad, who was a F/Sgt in the RAAF with Supply Logistics ;was part of the RAAF and Civilian team to supply Australia with the Macchi MB326H aircraft. Most people will recognize these as the jet powered Roulettes Aerobatic Team prior to the current Pilatus PC-9 aircraft.
So , there you go, thats why I was in Switzerland.

Or that's what he would have you believe Bryce...

I suspect the truth is much shadier and involves chocolate, Gnomes, the innocence of youth and an international cuckoo clock price fixing cartel.

Zenrat--I worked as a costing clerk fixing the dodgy costs of a Swiss Cuckoo Clock firm and in my spare time stole Gnomes off innocent little children and held them for ransom for a sh*t load of chocolate. Thats da truth and da whoooole truth! Enough for now, how about a Kustom T-Bird Check this out.

Gorgeous 'Bird Ron.
Shame about the palm tree growing out of the roof but sometimes people just don't think about the framing & composition of photos when they park up. Rolling Eyes

Nice Utes Allan. First one looks like they had shares in the masking tape company.

Zenrat. The T-Bird is a Florida car and thats what they do there; attach palm trees to the roof . Beats trying to find a shady tree to park under.LOL! You just have your own trees for shade! LOL!

Allan, Absolutely Pickup Trucks are good, some of the best Kustoms ARE Pickup Trucks .

That make sense Ron. I might suggest it to Mrs z. She spends hours driving round and round car parks looking for shade.
