Land Rover 110 series
My Land Cruiser is on hold again for my new project, a Australian Army Land Rover 110 series.
This one started out as a Italeri 109 series which is basically the same car, at least thats what I thought.
I was going to buy a new kit to build, but my wallet said I should start with this one.
I had to remove the old tyre well in the bonnet, then extended it to the front.
1st coat of paint to see how it looks, a bit more cleaning and chuck those old tyres out.
New feet on the front...Much better.
a scratch built grille, bullbar and tools for the bonnet.
Making the canopy from tissue paper and wood glue. and cured with a hair dryer.
By the way it's not my dryer! it belongs to Mrs Shoey.

Yeah. it looks a little blokey. How durable/handle-able is the tissue paper after it set? Nice work too

Re: Land Rover 110 series
Hey Bear Once it was dry it lifted off like a shell. I trimmed it up with scissors. the fun part now is the cam work ahead of me!
a little bit of colour
This is what I am hoping for.

Re: Land Rover 110 series
shoey have u thought about using dark green work shirt for the canvas, seen a early coe landrover in truck model world magazine,it was done the same way u done the tissue but the builder used the shirt.

Did you draw all those hexagons on there with a pencil? Man you must have a lot of patience...
