V8 Jet Sprint Boat

This boat was originally built about 10 years ago. back then I used balsa wood.
Today it's all done with Evergreen plastic sheet. Much easier
It has now been rebuilt into a Jet Sprint Boat, powered by a V8 Ford
instead of a 150hp Mercury,

I think it woulda went quicker with the Merc on the back!!

I can just about hear it lumping away at idle

I used to go and watch the jet sprints near Cabarita Beach (round mountain course) , they are amazing , nothing should be able to turn that fast on water (faster than a car can on land) ....

Put a steerable front wheel on that trailer and you can also have a road boat!

Nice build of an equally nice subject. Yeah I watched these boats race and they scared the crap out of me (maybe not as much as watching motorbikes race though).

It's a cool build shoey. The paint just pops under lights. Very nice heat marks on the headers too! Shame about the ford donk.....
