24 Hour T'bird with crappy pics
Here's a 24 hour build I attempted and failed time wise, although the whole build was still under 24 hours, just spread over 2 weekends instead of all in a row.
Colour is Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue, sorry for bad pics camera finally died after a long illness

Hey that's not bad for 24 hours - it looks just fine to me. Are those wheels kit stock?

Re: 24 Hour T'bird with crappy pics
Thanks guys, wheels are Pegasus. Had 'em for ages, I'm trying to remember where I got them in light of the other thread asking for Pegasus wheels. Don't remember, it was an online store in the US that is no longer around. I had it bookmarked but deleted the bookmark when the store stopped operating. I got a couple more sets but I'm keen to get more, they're nice wheels. I paid about US$9 a set including postage.

Re: 24 Hour T'bird with crappy pics
It looks fabulous and deserves an 'A' for effort. I reckon the T-Bird has earned a little Photoshop treatment...

Re: 24 Hour T'bird with crappy pics
Wow, great work Tezza!!
This kit was pretty good, if a little simple. The only issue was the glass not being even close to the correct size, and the udercarriage is pretty simplistic, but it made lowering super easy

Hey Tezza,I love that Photo shop ! It really made that T-Bird POP even more than it did . Is it a difficult program to learn? Is it awfully expensive? Damn but I'm nosy. Thanks,Bill

No probs Bill. I've been using Photoshop since it became available in 1980 so I've had some experience with it, and I now teach it. It's a huge program and it can't be learned in a short time, in fact I reckon one never stops learning Photoshop. There's always something new to be discovered with it.
That T-Bird has about 30 layers of images (mostly identical) and I use various tonal adjustments, filters, and blends on many of them to get the higher contrast (the pop you mentioned). I suppose I just create with Photoshop much like an artist sketches and paints art. It's very much whatever you want to do. Yeah give it a try - you may be able to download a trial version from Adobe's website? It's free for 30 days, otherwise you'll have to purchase it. Here in Aus it's about $400 to buy the educational version. Being a teacher I get the whole Adobe Creative Suite for free (there are some perks to an otherwise stressful job).
Hope you give it a go.
Cheers,
Tezza

Re: 24 Hour T'bird with crappy pics
Bill you only have to attend flea markets or computer swap meets to find " cheap" copies (if you get my drift) of Adobe software. My students have been able to buy copies of Photoshop at those places for as little as $20. Also someone may be selling an older legitimate version of Photoshop for cheap, such as Photoshop 7 or Photoshop CS. They are OK for this type of work. Good luck!
Sorry for getting off the track RS2000.
