"Odd Ball Racing" - part B
I've been wanting to build a weathered '50 for a while, and since I recently got 2 Snapfast '50 kits I decided to give it a shot!!! I'm also using a Regular AMT full detail kit for parts.
Here's my inspiration,
Here's where mines at..............
...I will have a crack at hand painting some signage on the doors,
Every old work horse needs a towbar, so here's one I scratchbuilt out of styrene and machined up a tow ball.

Re: "Odd Ball Racing" - part B
Y'know Paul if you drill some lightening holes in that rear bar you'll prolly gain at least 2 inches of ground clearance. Â :DTop job, it's looking great.

Re: "Odd Ball Racing" - part B
Nice work so far Paul - but that towball needs rusting too, seeing as how it hasn't towed anything for years?

No - it's all done with paint and Modern Masters rust (check out Rusting 101 in the how to's)

It's not my first time weathering, but I have tried a bunch of new techniques on this one which has been fun!............
Here's a few of my past weathered beasts
SGT RATUS
Bonneville Bastard
Stink Beetle
REAPER
Fordenstien
If you guys are thinking of giving weathering a go............just give it a try, the more you fcuk up the better it looks IMO, main thing is knowing when to stop!!!
