Plymouth Prowler Empty Plymouth Prowler

Post by Nighthoon Mon 05 Apr 2010, 5:24 pm

heres the next project in the gears its almost finished just got to put the front wheel guards on and front and rear bumpers which are drying as i write this thread this came with a trailer...so im thinking of all the funny things i could do with it a random hand sticking out maybe a dogs tail??? i have a heap of ideas for the end product but for now i will just stick with the stock stuff and put it in a display cabinet on its own and do a few more in the future its a fun car to build i enjoyed it i thought the front steering and suspension would be a bugger to sort out but pretty easy once u fit it all up take a look at it then glue it the color is a nice cool teal blue with medium grey and flat black interior there is boot detail but i dont know why the boot doesnt open up... the next one will have a huge set of rims under it as i have a few set spare now Very Happy but all in all this is by far my best one yet the paint is perfect not a single problem with it i havent rushed it ive spent alot of time on it tho i will in the near future attempt to put some dizzy cables in and maybe some extra detail on the interior apart from that this is my best project yet

Cool, I like the blue, but I actually prefer it with the black wheels.

ah yes i was tossing up whether to use the black mags on it or not and i said well dont get to far ahead of yourself do it stock buy another couple and then fiddle lol the next one i get i will be putting those black mags under it and it will be in either the same color or port sea blue as im experimenting with that color for a future project (shakes head slowly) there actually the same mags i have for my 53 studebake just in black which i only just noticed tonight lol and im at the moment waiting for the glue to dry on the bumpers and tailight lenses so tomorrow i should have a decent looking prowler lurking in the cabinet lol

Nice one - the Prowler was a great idea by Chrysler. Pity they didn't take it further.

Don't agree with you about the prowler though Tezza. Probably better the idea didn't fly too well. Can you imagine if Ford & GM had joined in and there were almost identical factory "rods" everywhere? It's be the 4 wheeled equivalent of all the identikit chequebook choppers I kept seeing over Easter.
