'86 Monte Carlo Sedan Delivery
Revell '86 Chevrolet Monte Carlo converted to a RH Drive sedan delivery. Built as I imagine Chevy would have done it for the 1986 Melbourne Motor Show.
So stock engine & ride height.
Wheels are from an unidentified Chevy ute chassis I got in an Evil-Bay deal.
Front end mods were inspired by Group A Commodores.
Decals are from the kit plus a few home made.
Bonnet fit has me annoyed (it's as though the corners have drooped - it would fit perfectly but only if you glued it in place) and i'm amazed at how a switch from low energy bulb illumination to the sun has affected the way the camera (which was on the same setting) depicts the colour (which is Ford Deep Aqua).

Good to see it finished , looks neat and sort of factoryish (albeit out the factory's back door) .

Re: '86 Monte Carlo Sedan Delivery
Thanks folks.
First time I've scratched up anything this complex.
Getting it all square and getting the interior to mate with the body was tricky.

Re: '86 Monte Carlo Sedan Delivery
Looks sweet, got to love the 80's style vans! The wheels look like the wheels out of the Monogram 39 Chev coupe from years ago.

Thanks folks.
The chassis the wheels came off has a blown dual quad BBC, rigid axle front suspension and mid mounted petrol tank which is what made me think it's a ute chassis. Of course the wheels might not be original to the chassis...

Relatively obscure song reference on the decals but I got it! I am a huge Rush fan. Rest in peace Neil Pier. Excellent job Zen! I'm familiar with this kit and I can tell the amount of work he did to make this happen. Great customizing brother.-Mark
