Re: 49 Oldsmobile
casting is very clean, only about 6 small bubbles, all the pieces fit together with minimal cleanup and the details are very crisp, the floorpan has a key molded to it wich makes me think the mold was made from some kind of toy, its going to be a curbside so it shouldnt take long to finish this one

Re: 49 Oldsmobile
Cool car. Is this based on the AMT Chevy Fleetline kit?

Re: 49 Oldsmobile
Bryce The AMT '51 Chevy Fleetline chassis and interior tub will fit straight into that body . Cool Olds !! I have a thing for Oldsmobile since I had a 1: 1 version a few years ago , sold it to a guy in Melbourne. I still have a a '55 Olds Rocket V8 though! I'll keep watching this one DV8V8 as I was keen on doing this resin version.

Re: 49 Oldsmobile
was doin some research today and it seems most GM marques used this body with minor mods ( caddys had small fins) and a variety of trim differences

Re: 49 Oldsmobile
Cool model, wouldn't mind building one myself. Great job with all that foil, I've never bmf'd a bumper before but I imagine it's a tricky job.

Re: 49 Oldsmobile
1st BMF job I tried was a front bumper.
You'll be amazed at how far foil will stretch on a compound curved surface. The trick is to make use of any seams and joints to hide the BMFs ummm, seams and joints.
Looks good.
