Re: Azteca Warrior F100 Van
I have used a tatto template on my 1:1 engine cover , but never considered using an actual temporary tattoo on a model car. I have a few of them so I'l try them out as an experiment . But first I'll have to apply the isopropyl alchohol so the paint won't get infected .

Re: Azteca Warrior - Applying Tattoos
Thanks for you interest in my Van. Temporary tattoos are very translucent so the don't like dark colours. I tried applying a red skull on the bonnet of mt 49 merc but you could see the tattoo at all. I have used tattoos 6 times with two stuff ups. If anyone else has had success with tattoos, please share them. Using tattoos can widen the scope for dacorations on vehicles. Give it a go but practise first. I was so impressed at how well the tattoos looked on my F100 van, its a good blend of colour and tattoo.

Re: Azteca Warrior F100 Van
Sweet van! The Tattoo decals suit it very well.
Nice colour and wheel choice too!
Temporary Tattoos are a great sorce for custom decals, I've got a huge pile just waiting to be used. The downside is they're a bit thicker than decals and they're not waterslide, which means once it touches the surface, you can't move them into to place. Also as Brett said, they only go over light colours.
Is this the one you mean Brayden? '72 GTO.
This one is a re-build, originally it was a blue glue bomb. When I cleared it the decals cracked. not sure why?

Re: Azteca Warrior F100 Van
Just thought I'd revisit this build to highlight the use of temp Tatts on models. For the newer guys who may not have seen this thread i hope it helps you to experiment with tattoos. This model is still not finished. One day !!!!!!!!!.

With vinyl ...I use soapy water on the surface then fit the vinyl. Makes it easy to move the decal around then using a squeegee ...very carefully.... work the water out from underneath.
I have never used a tattoo so have no idea how tuff or fragile they are ...just a thought tho !
