Re: ROCKHAMPTON MONTHLY CAR MEET
Hahaha, I just typed in "Rockhampton Hell Lights" in Google images and a photo of my 05 Commodore came up! the one I use for my avatar. What does this mean?
Re: ROCKHAMPTON MONTHLY CAR MEET
Heh heh heh.
I just googled it.
What's the story behind it. It can't be accidental.
There was a case in the UK years ago where juvenile offenders were made to plant daffodil bulbs as part of their punishment. When they flowered they neatly spelt out BOLLOCKS...
Also, a friend of mine tells me of a middle eastern airport he was involved in the construction of. A disgruntled surveyor made a "mistake" of a few minor but significant degrees when pegging out for the mosque. If they ever check they'll find it's actually aligned to Tel Aviv rather than Mecca...

I also see that the Rocky Motor Show is on in a few weeks.

Roger that! Back in 1988 I went to the Rocky Motor show and found that they had a Model comp.
I was quick enough to race home and grab something to enter.
1 year later the organisers said it was getting to big to control so they pulled the pin.
Thats when I stepped in. with some help from Lord Vader we got the ball rolling again.
So here I am 21 years later still on with 2 model comps on the go. you think I would learn!
This one is gunna be Huge, so who's comin!

Not sure of Qld but a lot of towns in NSW had their streetlights arranged to spell an abbreviated version of the name for pilots in WW2 for navigation purposes . There was an area you could park on the Liverpool range overlooking Murruurundi and it's lights spelt MDI (with a few extra's thrown in since the war) , was Rockhampton always known as Rockhampton or did part of it have another name ?

Re: ROCKHAMPTON MONTHLY CAR MEET
Yeah, used to be called "F*ck it's hot here", then they changed it to "Helltown" as to not upset people with swear words. But then that was a bit too offensive so they called it "Rockhampton", believe it or not

Re: ROCKHAMPTON MONTHLY CAR MEET
The first Saturday of every month there is a gathering of Classics and Muscle cars.
Rice cars are not encouraged, If you want to come and have a gander park them around the corner.
