I got wood
This one is just a slammer, built using the RM '48 Woody with leftover parts from one of my RM Deuce coupe builds. Used the front axle, disc brakes and wheels plus a custom chassis cross- member to get the front height just perfect. The rear axle set-up is straight out of the deuce with the airbags shortened to get the ideal stance.
The bonnet is filled, likewise the tailgate spare wheel mounting holes. The ribbed front bumper is from the AMT '40 Sedan delivery kit and all the rest is 'stock' '48 Ford woody.
For me, this car is perfect and one that given the cash to buy the base woody, I would build in a heartbeat.

Re: I got wood
Girls got excited when I showed them my woody! But it was only a 1960 Morris Minor woody wagon - nothing like this ripper machine. She's a beauty.

Yup, but I never get to watch much TV, especially cable, so I guess I better chase Michael up for a copy of that edition of the show.
I've got a few more of these kits as well as some of the AMT 41 Woody kits and of course all the old Revell, AMT and Monogram model A woodies. Think I may even have a couple of Model T depot hacks. Much as I love my hot rods and kustoms, I love wooden bodied cars even more.
