1964 chevrolet impala SS

hey guys heres my latest project a 64 impala ive been after this kit for ages reason being my inheritance is my dads old 64 belair so i wanted to try and do this as close to the 4 door as i could looks wise anyway lol ive made up some port sea blue which is one of the stock colors took me ages to get the right mix in the end i used sea blue and silver to get it pretty close to the 1/1. the interior is matt grey with the blue trim which im waiting to dry at the moment i had a problem with the wheels as there not the standards but the 1/1 doesnt have standards any way so i used a set off the 64 fairlane tbolt i think painted the engine in the typical chev red/orange of this year i painted the coil red apparently race coils were red in the day ive also scribed in a crack in the right hand side top wishbone and rear left side of the X chassis apprently this was also typical of chevs all i know is the 1/1 has these defects aswell more pics soon of the under carriage and interior





ill try and get some pics up of the 1/1 to show yas the silver stripe and bonnet paint im goin to do aswell the trunk has just the hydro shockie gear in didnt wanna leave it bare

got some more work done to this today had some problems with putting the mirror on man was it peeeeessssing me orf apart from that i just need to touch up the bonnet paint a bit and glue the rear and front bumpers on



and i got some pics of the 1/1 today aswell so ill post em up and show yas my inheritance shes a bit dirty i need to pull her out of the shed and hose her down so i can actually see the silver paint work on it. i want to restore her and get her registered for my wedding but its guna take alot of work to get her roadworthy my older brother hasnt really looked after it hard to beleave but the rego ran out on this in 2005



as you can see my brother suffers from "errol flynn syndrome" or more commonly known as " passionate fingers" hopefully once i start work on the beast ill be able to put this up in the 1/1 threads

Promise me you wont put any of those rice neon's in it!!!

haha lol nope it'll all be re done the way it was except i might throw in a original interior the front seats are out of a sigma so i found out today XD

Interesting project on both levels. That interior shot is a bit dark so I've put more light on the subject, but the pic wasn't good to start with. Keep us posted.

i was guna hook the lux up to it today and skull drag it out of the shed but i just looked outside and its a bit dark aswell sigh thx tez at least with ur pic u can sorta tell what the interior color is in that shed its almost pitch black
