THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR DUNE BUGGY
While waiting for some parts to dry on my baja i deceided to plan a couple of my next builds and so heres one of them..... steve mcqueens dune buggy from the movie the thomas crown affair .i remember watching the film years ago a thinking that was a cool buggy and wasnt untill recently that i rembered it again .so i will be starting with a jimmy flinstone resin body which they claim is 1/24 but to me it is much smaller but any way it wiil work for this build .the wheels are from the amt barris t buggy kit and they seem to be preety clse match but they might require minor mods.the engine will be a corvair flat six just like the real one which i have no shortage of because that most dune buggy kits come with an optional corvair engine.the floor pan will be scracth build as most vw kit pans are too big as well as a lot of other parts. stay tuned GM

Re: THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR DUNE BUGGY
I like the look of the buggy.
I think that with the amount that are being built at the moment we should have a build off. in the build of section Any type of Buggy from race to the show car. Can be based on anything that your mind dreams up and does not have to be VW based could be the old scrap roo shooting car/buggy to a state of the art trophy truck. let your mind run wild. Could be a lot of fun.
I would be in that, anyone else ???

Re: THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR DUNE BUGGY
The only buggy I have, Has got golf clubs in it. It also has flat tyres and cobwebs from lack of use. does this count.
This should be interesting to watch. the movie wasn't bad either.

Looks good cleaned up. Are the panels that you have cut out in the front going to have anything behind them or are the going to be left open
