Ford GT 40
this is a revell kit of the Ford GT40, its a very old kit and should be avoided if possible detail on the engine is very bland and when the assembled engine is fitted to the chasis the rear wall of the cabin wont fit in place most of the front detail on the engine has to be removed to put the kit together! the front suspension goes together surprisingly well but after the bonnet is attached it wont close untill the suspension has been ripped away from the chassis, the rear suspension hangs of the gearbox and is very delicate mine ended up being 3mm longer on one side than the other, to compound all of this the body panels were squashed out of shape and the photoghraps in the instructions are probably taken from a prototype as they show different panel work to that supplied in the kit, u have probaly gathered by now that this kit gave me the and almost ended up as spare parts i found the only way to finish it was to glue everything shut !

Re: Ford GT 40
Might be a POS kit, but it's a cool looking car and you did a great job - well done!

Re: Ford GT 40
The shape looks accurate and those wire wheels look real sharp. Shame about your building problems though. At least you have a half-decent model of a very famous car now.
