hey started this bout 3 hrs ago, gotta love aircon and a owning a mini spraybooth. got the undrcoat and base down. its faspearl silver over black.not sure about the louvre hood may jus run the stock hood
started doin the interior flat black with red embossing powder, heard bout the powder last week and found it in spotlight.works alright if you spray down light coats of contact adhesive

Nice work! I guess you spray the adhesive first and then sprinkle the powder over it? Looks a bit like suede leather or velvet.

seriously this is only the 3rd detailed car model. what got me into this was a moebius "eye gone wild kit"
my first kit was a hilux drag car with 13b turbo, and i thought you would obviously build a scale car with detail straight off the bat (never seen a real car without plug leads,water hoses fuel lines, ect) so i jus done what i thought was right and it worked ok, then i found SAE mag and that was it, hooked big time!
now jus gonna have fun and see where this fine hobby takes me.
here is the hilux i actually entered in a buildoff earlier this year for minitruckin magazine and place first. i also scratchbuilt a trailer out of evergreen too. enjoy
the surf is just the body and interior with cut wheels underneath some thing i put together jus to pull the trailer.

yeah they were i seen the chevy kit at hobbyco and had the aoshima hilux and thought 'hell yeah doin that' then found the parts box and ordered some braided line a couple of turbos and the 13b motor and thats the end result. so yeah jumped into this hobby full tilt and have no intensions of stopping.

well had a change of plans with colour, decided to paint it gold flake over black and gonna run red steelies with white walls.
also finished the interior jus gonna run it rat looking with the black dash and wheel. overall it looks great and i hope to have it finished this weekend so i can finish off the mini that im building for my oldman
