"Utensil" ....'72 Chevrolet
Here's something I've always wanted to build, no idea why but for some reason I think it's cool.
AMT '72 Chevy extended wheelbase pickup, so far I've shaved the lower trim - dropped the suspension (not hard as it's mostly all moulded in!!), added big and little's from the Revell '36 Ford kit and dropped on some chrome rocker covers and a Holley with an Edelbrock aircleaner. Paint will be two tone - most likely Metallic black upper with light metallic blue lower (Tester Lacquer for both colours)........................
...should keep me going till the warm weather arrives.

Looks great already - and something a bit different too!
Bit of an older version - but best I can do for inspiration:

Hmm....interesting inspiration Fred, I think mine will be a tad less blingee though
......anyway here's what little progress I've got, New hood treatment as the stock one was way to boring
and I've changed aircleaners and started putting the motor together,

It's the kit block and heads with everything else from lotsa various kits (about 4 or so!)
...the hole isn't my doing, it's just a pretty ordinary kit (1 piece chassis etc)...regular AMT fare

It's so you can adjust the timing while your driving. I've got one of these kits too, was going to either racers wedge or camper it though. Looking good Paul.Bryce wrote:What's up with that massive hole in the firewall?

Re: "Utensil" ....'72 Chevrolet
Today's weather was to nice not to lay some paint, so here's where I'm at..............
.....unfortunately I got a bit to eager and masked up way to early so the Blue will need a rub down and more coats before it all gets cleared, still I'm quite liking the colour combo!!

Re: "Utensil" ....'72 Chevrolet
Tis a very nice colour combo Paul, look good together. What shade of blue is that?
Re: "Utensil" ....'72 Chevrolet
Very nice.
I think it needs a thin pinstripe between the two colours, that would set it off.
