Re: 55 chevy vert
Easy with the blue Hylomar on the valve covers there mate.
Good work on the chassis. I can't tell what's moulded in there but i'm guessing the axle/springs/driveshaft is one piece and the rest is another?

Re: 55 chevy vert
Thanks No Zen they all seperate pieces, have to paint and install the rear shocks yet.Gas tank is all thats molded to the chassis plate. This is what the new tool tri five chevys are based on. Worst thing about thes kits is the multi piece dash.
Re: 55 chevy vert
OK. It looked an odd way to build it that's all - putting the exhausts and drive shaft on before the engine. That made it look like an all moulded in one chassis very well detail painted.

Fred, thats one of my secrets to working so fast but dont tell anyone
Tidy up mold lines ,seams etc quick sand, wash n dry then prime. Fix anything I missed then paint everything thats supposed to be the same colours (I use lacquers or nail polish for all but engines and detailing cause they dry fast). As soon as say I've assembled the engine and am waiting for detail painting to dry I'll start on the diff as thats drying I'll start chassis detail so am really just maximising the time I use.

Colin. no not as often as I'ld like to sometimes lol. I have arthritus along with a serious case of gout (painfull sonofa b), some time I can be fine for a week or so at a time, others am pretty much crippled with pain for days on end, but dont watch tv, dont go out much cant do sports etc re above so this is what I do (modelling). I do a little releif driving when I can which is what funds my hobby/obsession. and thanks for following along tis appreciated
