Kenworth K100 Kustom
Alright, time to upset our trucking friends again with my destruction of the Oriental Express K100 Kenny.
Started with bits and pieces and have come up with this so far. Chassis was to be a tri axle but I eliminated the front axle and added the rear to extend the length, as it was a bit chopped up I decided to cover it all in. I also scratched up some smoothy guards, still tinkering with the wheel opening shape at the moment. Not sure on colour yet but am thinking Candy Orange, may even add some cream down the bottom, we'll see. Oh yeah, don't bother to count the rivits, all gone,

Looking good so far. Why worry about offending anyone? It's your creation so go to it. Anyone who complains must be envious of your skill and creativity. Goodbye rivets!

Re: Kenworth K100 Kustom
Tezza, who said I was worried about offending anyone
Brad, you're right, I'm still giggling. Colour wise I want to go very un truck like and more to my custom taste.
I was going to chop it but I want to keep the doors as openers, so I'll just put on a big arse visor and a ground scraping bumper. Cab is not in final position yet, that will be sorted once the motor is in. I think it looks a bit odd at the moment but I have the look I want in my head so bit of luck I can translate it. Now to find some scale 10 inch stacks

I love the 3 dimensional expression of a truly twisted creative mind. Love the truck...looking forward to see it finished.

Re: Kenworth K100 Kustom
G'day Allan, been working on the colour for this one, wasn't quite sure what I wanted but think I've got it sorted now. Base coat is pearl white with yellow candy in it, then I will put a candy orange over that. The hard bit will be getting the Orange a consistant colour over the whole thing and stopping it from striping as well, think I have it sussed. May do some update pics tonight if I get time, going to Melbourne for a week in the morning.

Re: Kenworth K100 Kustom
Sorry mate, i don't use model paints, especially enamel, I only use automotive paints and I just happened to havesome candy yellow and candy red plus some white pearl, so hasn't cost me anything. Thanks for the tip though.

Re: Kenworth K100 Kustom
Thought seriously about it Carps but it has opening doors and that would have just been tooooooo hard and I'm too lazy plus I think with one of those big drop visors it will look like it's chopped, hope so any way.

Another one of my ideas that's been taken. Looking good though, paint is looking really smooth.
