White 3000 series
Hi again, here's a current project. Cab is from the Backyard shed.
This is how the cab came, but I wanted to build the extended sleeper cab version.
Firstly I filled in the guards & mocked up on the chassis. Guards were filled as cab is raised to accomadate V6 Detroit; chassis is amt Autocar.
Dissected cab & put back together.
Chassis painted, cab bogged-up.
Cab primered, fuel tanks & rear guards fitted.
Cab painted, exhaust & air cleaner fitted.
Okay, started on lines & scrolls, & have marker lights, airhorns & mirrors fitted. Have to completely rework interior tub as the one that came with the cab does'nt allow for an engine to be fitted; plus sleeper modification throws the bunk configuration out completely. More to come soon!

Re: White 3000 series
Thanks for the heads-up on the old White 3000. I'd almost forgotten about this truck. Saw one or two around in the 50's when I was a young boy. I really am enjoying watching this one progress - please keep on posting.
Cheers,
Tezza

Re: White 3000 series
This is new stuff from KFS thru Auslowe. I think Nigel did the designs & KFS do the printing. Nigel's wife, Renee can also print any company names or logo's in any colour to scale.

Re: White 3000 series
Just buy the later aerodyne issue and get a resin flat roof mate, pretty sure Andy at Scaleautomobilia in Grafton has the Aerodynes for around the $80-100 mark, look up scaleautomobilia.com. Think he's even got the resin roofs or Auslowe sells them.jamie wrote:ya might get a shock over 200 AUD on e,bay
