JAGUAR Mk 2
Last one from me today. Tamiya Mk 2 Jag. Lovely kit, it comes with adhesive chrome side spears and walnut trim decals, although a lot of the beautiful detail gets hidden away after final assembly. It’s painted in Tamiya competition white - last time I will use Tamiya spray paint – it never dries so every time I handle it I get finger prints and if you use BMF, it stains the paint! Back to auto lacquers for me. Hope you like it…

A beautiful model Bryce - I've built this one and it went together so well. Don't you just love those wheels? Shame about the Tamiya paint - they never seem to have solved that hardness problem with the drying side of it.

Nice Kitty! Rule Number one with Tamiya paint is don't use it unless it's the from the rattle cans! The Enamel and acrylic paints never dry hard for me either!

That was the rattle can! I have had no luck with tamiya spray paint - it never seems to dry properly. Actually I hate all model paint full stop! Give me real stuff any day

What do you mean "I hope you like it!" .....I love it, it looks real. you have done an excellent job with this one Bryce..It would look even better in a diorama! Keepemcomin!
Re: JAGUAR Mk 2
Here ya go Bryce, you might have to build this one now!!! I took this pic at Eastern Creek 2007 Muscle car masters, the car is holding out better than the driver....LOL.
I am soon building the 69 B J Camaro from the revell kit,

Mate if you had a "gold digger" ex-wife like his you'd age overnight too! I saw the Jaguar race many a time at Calder and the battles with Beechey's Holden FX (and later Chev Nova) were memorable.

Nice one Shoey - can't wait to see that Camaro. Where'd you get the decals? I've actually been collecting bits and pieces over the last few years to try and build a Beechey Nova in action. Would like to do a two car diorama of it leading the Geoghegan Mustang into a corner something like this:
Nobody ever seems to model racing cars in action and I can't figure out why. I reckon a model would look great like this:

Here's a camaro for inspiration:

Thanks Frank - have you actually used these decals? Does anyone know if they're any good? Pics I've seen of them look a bit dubious...

I just emailed him Frank but he doesn't do either of these cars - I may have to enlist Andy's expertise on this one...

Re: JAGUAR Mk 2
What a great job on the jag, I also finished one last week the fits and detail are spot on, I used the Tamiya BRG colour in a spray can on mine, I place the body etc in the sun (near a window)after it is touch dry and wait a day between coats also I warm the can under hot water till body temp.
