Ducati 916 'Tricolore'
Welcome to my new build, my version of the Ducati 916.
I originally built this kit about 13 years ago, it was my favourite build, but it met with an untimely fate.
So I'm tackling this one again, it will be interesting to see if it turns out any better than the last.
Ducati's have always been one of my favourite bikes, and my definite favourite is the Ducati 1098 Tricolore version.
This is a limited edition paint scheme that Ducati have used on some earlier models, unfortunately the 916 was never offered with this paint.
And with Tamiya unlikely to release a new 1098, for the present anyway, I'm going to see if I can replicate the Tricolore paint scheme and do my version as if it were offered on the 916.
This is the kit, what the 1098 Tricolore scheme looks like, and the start I've made.
I've got the body parts glued together, now need to fix and sand the joins.
I also got the stand done, tried a couple of new techniques that I wanted to try, let me know what you think.
Anyway, thanks for looking.

It may be box stock, but it's looking superb. Great detailing etc.
