Citroen rustbucket.
Here's a few pics of a Heller 1/8 Citroen I butchered and turned into a wreck. Lots of expensive fun....

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
Thank you miwi and dv8v8.
I used an original Citroen parts manual for the exploded views and pics I took of disassembled parts to get it as close as I possibly could.
It was built on commission for a Citroen collector so I had access to the real thing as well as all the printed info I needed.

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
Thanks for the kind words Steve, ratsmann, and mgy125.
It was fun (?) to do and I'm working on and off on another one- this time a Minicraft 1/16 Model A delivery. I'll post some pics of that one on the workbench forum soon....

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
Took a few looks to convince my brain that I was looking at a model and not a real car . Excellent work .

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
That big old 1:8 scale Heller Citroen is a rare kit now. I think I saw this same vignette (or a similar one) at Model Expo some years ago? Amazing detail and realism - a beautiful example of the plastic modeller's art. Well done!

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
Thanks allan, Ian, and Tezza.
Tezza, you're correct mate. It took the gold in its class down at Melbourne. It also got a 4 page article in Modelart a few years ago.

Re: Citroen rustbucket.
Chris you've just jogged my poor old memory further. I remember the article in ModelArt Magazine because I prepared the photos for prepress. Mate am I losing it or what? Thanks for the wake-up call.

If you're losing it mate, you're not the only one! I'm not exactly a master of memory myself....
You did an excellent job with the photos Tezza!! Thanks mate. Thanks to Frank too for the superb writeup (he half credits me but all I did was supply him with the tech info).
