Vintage Hydroplane
Hey Guys, a lotta cursing and swearing to get this one finished.
This 1/24 scale Hydro was scratch built from balsa and veneer.
the cowl, wheel and seat is from the 1/24 scale Kurtis race car.
it's powered by a 6 cyl Holden Red motor, it also has running
gear from a RC chopper, it doesnt steer but it scoots along real quick.
the decals were a last minute thing. not sure they suit it.
Sorry about the pics, they are off my phone.

It's beautifully done. Yeah, not sure about the hull decals, but the rest is great.

Bloody ripper Shoey! That polished wood hull looks fantastic. Maybe you could post an engine closeup pic when you get the chance? What a great little model this is. What's going to tow it?

Thanks Bear, The Ideas come easy.
It's the result of being dragged all over the country
by my mum and dad to race boats. both of my parents raced.
Hard to believe my mum used to race V8 inboards.
Here is my old man in one of his smaller boats.
11' Spider Hunter w/ 50 Merc. It used to have a 100 Merc but used to take too much water when stopping.
