1:43 scale Mini Broadspeed as raced by Brian Foley and Laurie Stewart
This has recently been released below is an excerpt from the builder and also photo's of the Buckle Mini Monaco to be released soon , for more info contact Tony at anthonywhanna@hotmail.com
And now the broadspeed as it arrived , very nice detail and a cool model of an Australian race car ,
2 of the pics are of the pre production Broadspeed, added red outline to the roundels, how it ran at Bathurst 69 and got a credible 3rd place against big bangers.
The Buckle Monaco pics are of the decorated unfinished pattern, shown at 50trh Mini Meeting at Zetland late last month. still a lot of work to do< detail like roof guttering and door lines and general smoothing out. Should be coming in the colours of 2 current owners, black and gold stripes and red with silver stripes!
hope you like them!
Cheers Tony

What an amazing little model of such a historic Mini. This would be the rarest of all Minis. I have heard BMW will release a new Mini Coupe Fastback in the near future, based on the Broadspeed concept. A nice pickup for you and one to treasure.

Interesting. I never knew those existed.
Standard Mini bodywork to the back of the doors by the look of it?

There's some more details (and brochure scans) over here Fred , http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/variants.htm , was one of the many exercises in making mini's more aerodynamic . It did boost top end speed and changed the handling characteristics slightly , but more importantly looks really cool . Essentially standard mini floorpan , subframes , front and middle bodywork , just a new roof and tail on it .
